The Junior Auxiliary to Host 15th Annual Santa's Gift House

The Junior Auxiliary of Taney County is hosting a shopping experience for children of Taney County. The 15th Annual Santa’s Gift House will take place in the Community Room of the Branson Tri-Lakes News office, located at 200 Industrial Park Drive in Hollister, MO on Saturday, December 14, from 9 am to noon.

During the shopping event, Taney County children in grades pre-K through fourth grade can shop for holiday gifts and enjoy the spirit of giving. The children can purchase up to four gifts at 50 cents each. Volunteers will help the children find gifts and purchase for their family. During the shopping, parents will have a chance to enjoy snacks and refreshments, as they are not permitted in the shopping area. “We have many gifts for kids to purchase for mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, or siblings.” JATC member Sheryl Schiller said. “Kids will have have a chance to get gifts for them. Our gifts have been donated, purchased or handmade. We have something for everyone. The goal is to let kids feel the joy that comes with giving gifts.”

Last year the event allowed more than 250 children the chance to shop. Volunteers of the JATC have spent weeks creating a holiday wonderland, with trees and decor to enhance the experience for the children. For more information, contact Kelly Anstaett at 417-986-3381.
