The Book Swap portion of Homework Helpers has added another extended hotel to our project. This week we had a kick-off to introduce the kids living there to our program. Three members of JATC served mini cupcakes, grapes, and Capri-Suns and then each of the members read books to one or two of the kids at the same time. Audrey, Jonathan, Jacob, and Brooklyn enjoyed reading with us, but the exciting part was that they took books home to read on their own or with their parents.

We also had some older kids come in and take books to read. We all enjoyed meeting the kids and helping them learn that “Reading is Fun”! A good time was had by all!
