I am so happy to live in a community where businesses and individuals support organizations like ours. Right now we are collecting silent auction donations and asking businesses to be sponsors, and the response has been amazing.

However, this incident is one that really warmed my heart. Joyce Davis, a waitress at Branson Cafe, recently had a party. And what a party it was! Joyce has been a waitress at the Branson Cafe under several different owners for the last 60 years. That’s right, 60 years working at the same location. Joyce said she had never had a party, and so the current owners decided to throw one for her. On February 8, they invited the public to come celebrate with Joyce and told Joyce that they would donate a % of sales to her favorite charity.

Joyce chose to donate to Junior Auxiliary of Taney County. It came as a complete and happy surprise to our organization. By the way, Joyce is not retiring, so say hi to her whenever you visit Branson Cafe.
