JATC’s Christmas Assistance Gives Special Gifts This Holiday Season

Junior Auxiliary of Taney County’s Christmas Assistance Project benefitted 96 children, ages 3 months to 5 years, enrolled in programs through OACAC Head Start, Early Head Start, and Home-Based programs this holiday season.

Bobbie Wydeen, Head Start Family Advocate/Director said, “All the children were excited to receive a special gift this holiday season, and parents were very appreciative.”

JATC members went shopping to fill bags with something special for the children.  Each child received a hooded coat, gloves, an outfit, a book, and a toy.

JATC would like to thank Ozarks Family Vision Centre who held a toy drive for this project and an Anonymous local business who donated $1000 to help support the project.

The smiles on the faces of Josie Bertram and her mom Emily, and River Hamilton and her mom Sarah Hargrove are samples of the happiness JATC was able to provide during this holiday season.  JATC strives to enhance the lives of children in our community.

Junior Auxiliary of Taney County’s motto is: Caring Hearts-Helping Hands-Changing Lives.
