I Could Have Danced All Night

I don’t know about you but when I was in school I really really wanted to go to my high school prom.  I didn’t make it my Junior year (Money was just too tight), but I did get to go my Senior year and it was everything I hoped it would be.

Maybe that’s what makes The Prom Dress project that JATC provides for girls in need so special to me.  I can relate to comments that several of the girls made such as:

“I’m so grateful and appreciative for this wonderful blessing!”;                                                     “As soon as I walked in I was greeted with smiling faces. I found my dress and all the ladies here made me feel like a complete princess!”;                                                                               “My dress is absolutely gorgeous!”;                                                                                               “Thank you for helping me say ‘yes’ to the dress.”

I would have given a lot to have an organization like that in my community where ladies were eager and willing to help.  It’s not just the dress that the girls receive but the kindness, the approval, and the compliments that do make the girls feel like a princess!

I hope all the girls we helped are singing “I could have danced all night!” at their prom this year.

JATC deserves a ‘big thumbs up’! for this project.
